In Charles Fishers essay cell phones and social graces; Charles Fisher talks about how cell phones are huge distractions in society and is slowly killing common courtesies. The author is against cell phones because he did not have the best of encounters in society when it comes to people using cell phones. For example when Charles Fischer would walk though the park or be talking to family, friends, or acquaintance they would ignore him or say” I have to take this.” Cell phone are the beginning of the end of common courtesies because people often drive and talk on the phone.
Driving and talking on ones cell phone is a huge example of demise of common courtesies. Cell phones distract one from driving for many different reasons. For example when someone is walking on the street and is almost taken out by someone talking and driving(not paying attention) this is discourtesies. Also there is the distraction of people texting and driving.
